Some more music while you're bored :D

Kai's Harp and orchestra piece, not yet complete but it sounds cool.

My pretty mean fugue in A minor Op.21

    Hope you all like them

And I think I did good with the ambience in the first one, still a little strange sounding. Has any one encounter that violin 1 lush in GPO has a strange attack sound? Maybe I'm the only one but I always hear it when I'm using Violin 1 in section strings.

    Hi Tovan

Cool piece ! You say the attacks of the strings sound strange. To me it sounds as if the velocities on most of your instruments don't completely match the dynamic levels you are using. ie. the attacks sound very detached and too strong. I hope this makes sense. Perhaps edit the velocities and see if you get the sound you are looking for. Did you use the GPO legato function? This will smooth out the attacks in legate phrases very nicely.

I enjoyed your pieces very much, thank you.
    Kind Regards

    Very nice pieces!

BTW... You're collection... Did you write all that within a week or two? It's amazing to write that much music in that amount of time!

I wrote Op.1 (which are chorales and are boring) to op.4 during school time in 2005 jan and during 2005 june (end of school year) then the rest till op.23 during the summer. Yep wrote majority during summer ... in midi (how dreadful sound :P) op.24 and 25 I wrote during school time and completed it just a weekbefore GPO arrived at my house.

Love the harp piece. If you happen to be using Garritan Ambience, for the heck of it, try setting predelay somewhat longer, width 100%, and diffusion 100%.
