    "Exercise In Ab" (two guitars)

    All,

This is my "Exercise In Ab", featuring two instances of the Kontakt nylon-string guitar. The instrument in the left channel has an alternate tuning, in that the top E-string is lowered to C. This same instrument is detuned slightly.

    Regards,

    Larry Alexander

    Larry-

That was pretty neat! Did you write the exercise? Why detune the left channel guitar? To maintain spatial separation on any unison notes? (For the rank beginner, if you place identical sounds in the left and right channels, they simply merge to give you a single sound, dead center.)

If you didn't write it, is the piece available in midi form somewhere? (If you DID write it, do YOU have it available!)

    Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Thank you. Thank you very much. Elvis has left the building.

Yes, this is one of my compositions. I detuned one of the guitars in an attempt to prevent phasing.

I appreciate the fact that you took the time to listen, Carl.

    Best regards,
