Nice job! Both the playing and the piano are awesome. If I got Akoustik, I'd be playing it on a Yamaha P120, but it might put my little Dell into cardiac arrest!

    Thanks for the post.

Sounds really great!! The velocity dynamics sound very realistic and when you play staccato notes it sounds fantastic! Are there release samples?

Very realistic. Keep up the good piano playing, too.

Good realism. I think that few persons could distinguish this piano from the real thing.
Have you got some demos in pop style that show overtone rules and pedal sustain performance?

    Hi,

it's a example of overtones rules applied to the NI Akoustik Piano:

Just see in this midi :

    http://www.audiolivepro.com/AKP_overtones1.mid

    (it's the midi test)

i play a C Major chord (for example) and i held this chord (begining to end of the midi)
(Pedal is up - NO PEDAL DOWN !!!!)

    now.....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 ) first case : with Overtones rules (real sympathic resonance -pedal up)

    http://www.audiolivepro.com/Akoustik_with_overtones.mp3

you can hear the good release and real release of NI (the G6 and C8 damper free sings in the release and THE overtones BEFORE G6 (undampered strings)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 ) second case : without Overtones (false behaviour)

    http://www.audiolivepro.com/Akoustik..._overtones.mp3

(but you can hear the good release and real release of NI (the G6 and C8 damper free sings in the release !)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

and a video with a real piano :

    http://www.audiolivepro.com/resonanc...tween_keys.wmv

Overtones add warm to the sound and the playing (and not "out of tune" fake unissons)

As soon i can buy Ivory, i will try to find a soluce to add this feature to the Ivory.

But, i'm happy now with my new version of AKP !!!!!!

you can find others explanations and script for others Piano sampled library :

    http://music.mezo.com/

But AKP is enhanced programmed and i've to wrote a specifical overtones script with CPU safe !!!!!!! (0.005 % CPU)

    ( Kornel, i don't forget the Nice_Steinway but i fall in love : AKP is nice !)

    Regards,

    Olivier
