Need Help In Creating A Sound With Atmosphere

    Hi Everyone,

I need help in creating a synth sound that pulsates to the beat of the song. I've found a few presets that come close but I can't seem to tell from the GUI exactly what Atmosphere is doing to create it. Thanks for your help.

Assign LFO 3 (for example - because I think 1 and 2 retrigger the LFO every note) to Filter Frequency cutoff or volume and with SYNC *on* play around with the depth and rate parameters. That should be a start anyway.

If you need this kind of sound often, I highly recommend Filterscape. It's a really nice filter that comes with a decent VA synth as well.

I can recommend CamelSpace. You can listen to audio examples and download a demo from: http://www.camelaudio.com/camelspace.php It works great with Athmosphere.

Hey, thanks for the link to Filterscape. I just bought it. Very cool, and the registration process was the easiest I have ever encountered.

To elaborate a bit on what steveb said, when you engage the "sync" button in the LFO section, turning the rate knob starts to display musical values such as 1/4 notes, 1/8's, 1/16ths' etc...

Then by assigning LFO 3 to the filter, amp, or pan parameters in the modulation section, you get "pulsing" related to the filter. amplitude, or pan.

Slapping Filterscape on an Atmosphere pad patch... things really start to get good...

Thanks everyone for your help. I haven't tried Filterscape or Camelspace (although I have Camelphat which is awesome) but I'm going to download them now and give a whirl. Thanks again.
