    Multi Card Setup

    Hi All,
I just dropped an Audiophile 24/96 in the box on top of my Delta 44.
This is sweet because it gives me 8 i/o total, including two spdif, and also GSIF II MIDI in.

All's well. For the most part.

Thing is I also thought I'd get with it the ability to capture a total of 8 output channels in giga, and get 8 audio in to giga's dsp. It would seem however, that giga can only access one audiocard at a time. It is worth mentioning here that sonar is able to use all, so they're all there. Giga's system properties has a drop-down list that forces you to choose which card is used! They both work fine, but they're

    Boo! Hiss!

This is not a huge deal, as the card will eventually go into another box. I'm just experimenting in the meantime.

Anyone know if I'm stuck with one or the other, or if there is a workaround? Will a 2496 update (Iknow, I should get that anyway ) give me a new option or am I missing something else???

ps. Apologies to giga-maniacs for potentially giving giga-haters more ammo.

    Re: Multi Card Setup

i don't think it is possible.

I am using 2 Deltas 66. The GSIF driver can only access one at the time, regardles of driver or settings. Sorry if i am jumping in, but since we have similar cards, i wanted to ask you does Kernel level midi make a difference? I am using a Midisport 2x4 Usb.

    Regards
    Karin

    Karin
I haven't gotten around to using the midi features on the AP yet.
I don't expect much, as I found the usb midi interface pretty fast.

Will post when I have some time put into it.

    Thanks for your reply.
