    Snorlax Checking In

    Hi, All...

Some of you may remember me as a fairly regular poster here...between gigging (took some I normally refuse, to pay for unexpected house & car repairs) and the day job, working with Overture 4, and the occasional moment spent with family, I have been posting much less...but I'm still thinking of all of you, especially the Indy NAMM gang.

Will also be back in the studio soon with a new euphonium and a real baritone horn.

Thumbs up Re: Snorlax Checking In

Blasted all Jim! My feet are still killing me from trying to keep up with you through the airport! Next time I'm wearing my inline skates.
Good to hear from you Jim and here's looking up to ya bud!

Jimlax! Good to "see" you again.

Don't be a stranger, and make sure to drop me a line when/if you hit Cowlumbus.

Good to see you around the neighborhood again Snorlax! You've been busy. Can't wait to hear that new conical horn of yours.

    Markleford,

I was sorta there last Saturday, but had to blow in and blow out. Played a wedding at the church (can't even remember what denomination ) on Main St. in Bexley, right across the street from "main gate" of Cap. Man, were those streets torn up!

Wedding was 4pm your time, ended at 5 (4pm my time) & I had another gig in Indianapolis at 7:30, so I had to hit the road like quick. made it with a few mins. to spare!!

Group in the wedding was excellent--1 trumpet was lead in Jazz Arts Orch, other was from Brass Band of Cols. Trombone was the prof at Cap. Great players all. I played horn parts on a midsize euphonium. There's a LOT of GREAT brass players in Cols!!

My friend Tony Zilincik is now on faculty at Cap, teaching tuba, theory, composition.

Will probably spend a day or two at Otterbein this Spring...hope to see you then!

    Thanx...Jim

No problem: I know how "business" travel can bring you closer to people, but leave no time! Then again, I don't know how good of a tour I can give of town, seeing as how I hide in the home studio all the time these days.

And then there are the *other* ones, like me!
