sample cd's heard on commercial recordings thread

I would like to dedicate this thread for any sample cd's which you can hear on commerically available recordings. Any genre of music is acceptable! Please be specific as possible.

    I'll start off:

    Artist: Toni Braxton

    Song: Please

Strings are off Downtown Strings sample cd.

Let's make this list as long as possible! I know this will be fun!

Uh... the "steel guitar" patch from the Roland JV series was all over a string of mainstream "MIDI R&B" hits during the last 10 years... and I suppose that patch may have been derived from a sample CD at some point?

    (1) Downtown Strings on Natalia Imbruglia's album (White Lilies Island). Track 5 or 6 at the very begining.

    (2) Most Hiphop tracks uses Syntec Super Strings EMU sample CD for strings (mainly Marcato Strings patches)

    (3) Bomfunk MCs - Freestyler famous steel guitar lick is from Interface Guitars sample cd (Big Fish Audio)

...but there are a lot of them.

A French artist called Zazie used jazz flute gimmicks coming from "On A Jazz Tip". You probably don't know her, but she's very popular here

I can't count the number of times I've heard orchestral phrases coming from "Peter Siedladjek's Symphonic Adventures". Particularly in South Park !

A very popular tool in TV industry is also Spectrasonics' "Stylus RMX". Listen closely to the background ambient tracks in CSI, it's often used.

Also, particularly in movie trailers, I've noticed a number of times the use of a 5/4 signature percussive track from EW's "StormDrum". (I think the preset is called Cathedral, I'll check at home).

Cole Sear: I hear sampled phrases.
    Malcolm Crowe: In your dreams?
    [Cole shakes his head no]
    Malcolm Crowe: While you're awake?
    [Cole nods]
Malcolm Crowe: Sampled phrases like, in graves? In coffins?
Cole Sear: Playing around like regular riffs. They don't hear each other. They don't know they're sampled.
Malcolm Crowe: How often do you hear them?
    Cole Sear: ALL THE TIME.
