    Fantasy Impromptu for Organ

I don't often feel the urge to write music for Christmas or for church use. But yesterday, before my morning coffee (somewhat past noon) I was bitten by the Burgundy Bug, and wrote this Fantasy Impromptu for pipe organ, on a Burgundian Carol. In form, it is a rather loose sort of Prelude, Canon, and Fugue. As for the source of the Burgundy Bug, see the post "Pat-A-Pan"

If you listen, please try the mp3, which I made using Sonar, and GPO pipe organ.

    Hi Richard

This is GORGEOUS (and I'm using that word trying to imitate a character in a British comedy series called Little Britain, I don't know if you've seen that in the US. It's in pretty bad taste overall, but hillariously funny. One character uses that word with such intensity, one is left in no doubt that she REALLY likes something).

I thought I'd mention that the score doesn't seem to want to load. I've had the same problem with your previous piece Mare Vaporum. All the other pieces on your Sib page load just fine, only these two don't. Perhaps you should investigate.

    Again, great piece!

    Kind Regards

What a kick!! You're development is much more intriguing than mine. I really enjoyed your smooth seques between the chordal and fugue events. And the ending is superb! Bravo! And our styles are different so there is no competition between the two if they are presented together on the same CD. Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed hearing it.

    Best regards,
    Cheers!

This is an awsome piece. My idea of Christmas music.

Well, I can't figure out why you had trouble loading the scores. But there have been some problems on the site lately that might account for it. Obviously, you were able to listen, and I am happy that you liked it. I will continue to search for an answer to the score loading problem.

A well written moder organ music piece.

Funny to hear when and how you wrote it...
