    Wink StormDrums into Stylus RMX

    Hi Guys,

I know we had a thread on here in October or November of 2004 regarding this topic but I can't find it anywhere.

I love StormDrums, but I adore RMX's simplicity and functionality more and really would like to integrate all of my percussion and drums possible into RMX..... And I know I'm not alone on this too.

Has anyone got any ideas on how I might use my StormDrums within RMX.

Please tell me there is a way.

    Thanks!

Render the SD loops to audio and convert them to rex (you'll need ReCycle unfortunately) then import them.

SD won't import Intakt loops and, even if it did, I doubt the copy protection would allow it.

Anyway, I've used the above technique. A bit of a pain but it works.

and dont forget to play them back in Kompakt in slice mode at a slow speed before rendering.
That way its much easier for Recycle to find the slices!

Talking Re: StormDrums into Stylus RMX

    Thanks for the replies!!

    OK good start!

But someone had mentioned last October or November that a program was available that would allow certain "greyed out" commands in a File or Edit menu or the like within a given program to become "active" thus potentially allowing me to "export" the REX files out of Intakt and make them more efficiently importable into my Stylus RMX. This would seem to be an easier solution.

    Anyone remember that?

    Thanks!
