Hi everybody!
I have loved this Gene Puerling arrangement of Molly Malone for all my life. It was sung by the HI-LOs way back in the early sixtys when I was about 8 years of age. I came across this record, so I had to copy it by ear of course, I'm pretty sure you guys are tired of hearing that, sorry.I wanted to do a GPO version for fun. I am mostly proud of the fact that it only took two days! WOOT!
It is very weird sounding without lyrics. Also, the choice of instruments that I choose is even more weird, but I think it sounds cool. The mix is kinda bad, and there really needs to be alot of breathing inserted, but I just decided not to waste the time since it was for shear fun. Oh by the way.... I am not going to remix this thing twenty times

In Dublin's fair city where,
the girls are so pretty,
was there I first met her, sweet Molly Malone,
she drove a wheelbarrow,
through streets broad and narrow,
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive oh"!
she was a fishmonger,
and that was the wonder,
her father and mother were fishmongers too,
they drove wheelbarrows,
through streets broad and narrow,
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive oh"!
She died of the fever,
And nothing could save her,
And that was the end of sweet,
Molly Malone.
but her ghost drives a barrow,
through streets broad and narrow,
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive oh"!
Alive, alive oh! alive, alive oh!
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive oh"!
