As you own it, could you say if there is an update available on download?

    This is good news.

I wish they would have recorded sustain samples though.

This sounds promising but I couldn't find any info about an update being available to existing customers. I have the original library and this could be the facelift it needs and deserves.

did they sameple all 88 keys this time ? ( The old version had 6 samples per octave ) If they did then it is great news, Galaxy had a great sound quality IMHO

It looks like it's the same old recording just ADDED "resonance and release samples"

The question is 'how' this is being available to existing users.

    1. Free or paid download?

    2. You can buy the entire sampled piano again for full price and it will include the new stuff?

that he has "requested information from Best Service"

Here are more informations about the NEW Galaxy Steinway and its included release and resonance samples. The 1 GB upgrade is totally FREE for registered users.
Available at Best Service, Sounsonline and Time & Space
    RELEASE & RESONANCE:
With this update, Galaxy finally gets release samples and real pedal down
resonance, seperately recorded for each note.

Release samples add the sound of the damper muting the string after a key
has been released. Additionally, especially with staccato notes, you get a
far stronger impression of the recording room. Obviously this sound is
different for each string, so we recorded release sample for every note of
the Galaxy Steinway. The sound of those samples also depends on how hard a note has been played and how long it has been sounding before the key
release, which is perfectly played by the release instruments and multis of
    the Galaxy Steinway.

Because the release time of the main instruments can be slightly shorter,
when using additional release samples, there are special instruments for
    this purpose, ending with "-release.nki".

Only for the release instruments, you will find two different versions: one
for the Kompakt Player and the other one for Kontakt , which can load all
Galaxy programs, but adds a new parameter. The main difference of the
Kompakt version is that after about 4 seconds of sustain, you won't hear a
release sample any more, because Kompakt isn't able to change the sound of
the release sample according to time. So we decided to let those samples
fade out in Kompakt after about 4 seconds instead of risking release samples
to be too dominant, when releasing a key after a few seconds.

Real pedal string resonance is now added to the Galaxy Steinway as well.
When hitting a key and pressing the sustain pedal of a piano, all the other
strings, depending on the played key, start resonating, which is a main part
of a piano sound. In difference to other piano libraries, we recorded just
the resonance of all the strings without the resonance of the played string,
again for each note of the Galaxy Steinway. And of course we recorded it not just in stereo, but also in 5.1. Just add the stereo or the surround
resonance instrument to a "dry" Galaxy multi or instrument, press the
sustain pedal while playing, listen and enjoy. As it is a separate
instrument, you can control the amount of resonance simply by adjusting the
instrument's volume. Of course you can also load just the resonance
instrument for a very special piano experience.

The resonance instrument is programmed for the "normal" use of the sustain
pedal, which means pressing the pedal right after hitting the keys and
releasing it right before hitting the next keys. If you hit the keys and
wait some time, before pressing the sustain pedal, the resonance samples
might sound a bit too loud, depending on the overall volume of the resonance
    instrument. Klaus from Bestservice.de Germany

I wonder if they are interested in working with me on the PSR Pro script and make the piano experience even better for the K2 users
