Looking for some Crumhorn sounds from 2 yrs back

    Hi

I was looking for some Crumhorn sounds for a project, and found an NS post from 2 years back with someone offering alto and tenor Crumhorns. I have a (real) soprano Crumhorn myself that I'll perform with it and I wanted to add an alto and tenor with it.

Does anyone still have them and want to share them, with the authors' permission?

Talk of krumhorns will always bring me out of the shadows.

I still have Aenigma's Alto & Tenor Krumhorns; have you tried sending him a PM to see if he's still hanging around?

Also, ask Tob - since he originally hosted these, he might still know how to get ahold of him.

I'm still waiting for someone to sample a great Bass Krumhorn in C...

And something tells me I'll be waiting for a long time.

(If, as Nick has said in the past, a krumhorn sounds like a duck farting, a Great Bass in C would be the Godzilla of All Ducks... )

Yeah - I asked both of them already actually. Aenigma didn't respond (about 2 weeks back I sent a PM) and Tobias didn't have them anymore.

hehe - well that's one way to put it. I guess when you start tracing any instrument family back to the medieval period you get unusual sounds ;-)

...which is not to say that my ornithology skills are advanced enough to tell duck and goose farts apart.

Actually, the VL1 (and probably the VL70m) has an amazing krumhorn.

They're historic hardware synths by Yamaha from the early 90's

    Herman,

In case you have not managed to obtain a copy, I have located them in my file archive and posted them for download here...

    http://www.emtec.co.uk/public/upload/Crumhorns.zip

They are made available without permission from Aenigma, but I hope it is OK since they were made public.
