Looking for great bass guitar sample libraries acoustic/electric

I went looking for bass libraries here on this forum, i can find some:

    -Pure Basses Yellow Tools
    -Bass legends Spectrasonics
    -J-slap and fingered Scarbee
    -Lastufka Bass acoustic guitar
    -Dan Dean Giga Bass

I am looking for Kontakt libraries!

I do have Spectrasonics Trilogy but don'nt like the release part, that means hearing the strings movement all the time. I wish i could switch that sound off somewhere trilogy sounds great apart from the release samples.
What library i should go for? I am mainly in the experimental side of music, i like for example minimoog bass sounds! But anything which is sampled is welcome electric guitar, electric synths acoustic guitars anytyhing what sounds like bass!

That full library is now included in Studio B, which also includes an electric guitar and a couple multitracked, multisampled drum kits. And I'm into experimental music as well so there's lots of little extra goodies in that library of harmonics and fingers on the strings and knocking on the hollow body, etc. And its in Kontakt format, which is what you said you were looking for.

    Fun stuff.

For acoustic upright bass, you may want to check out "THE BASS" from Bardstown Audio.

Man, isn't that the truth?! The Sadowsky 4 string that was in his sample library still is untouched. Even with only 2 velocity layers, it had SO much character...

You do know that you can turn the release samples down, or even off, right?

All the libraries you mentioned in your first post are very good. You really couldn't go wrong with any of them, especially the Scarbee Bass (IMHO).

that is what I like and a lot of people about the Will Lee library, you hear all the relase points and string noise, solo a bass track on a reacord with a really great bass player and you hear a lot of that

I listened to the demo of the bardstown audio bass and it is fabulous it will be in my library as soon as possable, everything he does blows me away I just cant aford any of it yet, his accordians are great and the acoustic guitars wow

The release samples are usually always on the second layer. Just turn it off, or turn it down. Either by clicking on the box under the B fader (top left), or by pulling that fader down.

But I agree with Jeff. The release sounds are what makes it sound real. Solo a real bass guitar track, and that's exactly what you'll hear. To me, a sample without that is lifeless. I can't use those.

    But to each his own.

Trilogy is a very good VSTi bass sampler
