    Handel's Water Music

I finished this a week ago and have been letting it chill. Here is a selection from Handel's Water Music.

How lovely, I haven't heard that in quite a while .

If I can make one suggestion: I think, and thats probably just a matter of taste, the first and last sections could perhaps have a bit more 'bounce'.... But like I say, that only my taste. A very nice rendition.

    Kind Regards

Boy that must of taken some time to score off an orchestral score or did you use some sort of midi sequence?

Still nice to see that people are working on renditions of the classics.

Thanks Louis. By bounce I think you mean more clipped. I will no doubt, at some later date, return to this and re-work it and will keep your suggestion in mind. BTW, Bravo on your recent Concerto for Cor Anglais. It is awsome.

Thanks. I've been working with Overture, one note at a time, for about 3 years and have gotten pretty good at working quickly. Can't wait for Overture 4 so I can start scanning scores.

Great Stuff Valhalx. Boy, that Handel was a real entertainer wasn't he? He always seems to nail his brief whether sacred ,secular,or in this case very public. You have made a great rendition of a real Crowd Pleaser.
Now you are nicely warmed up....when can we look forward to your GPO Eroica.
    regards

Thanks for your kind words. I would be tempted to plunge into the Eroica but with GPOA and Overture 4 on the horizon...well. BTW, I read your program for Sulis. Tomorrow morning I will revisit your piece and listen to it in a new light. You Europeans have so much history.

    Valhalx,

What an excellent rendition of this timless classic! I enjoyed listening and your interpretation did it justice. Good balance and mix also. It's hard to believe that this was done in notation one note at a time. That must have taken forever. Would you consider sharing the MDI or notation file?

You do such fantastic work and I'm also looking forward to the Eroica

    Thanks for posting this.

PS: At 0:37 and perhaps later at 2:31 I thought I heard a strange note in one the strings - then again I could be working too hard.

    Certainly.
Find the MIDI here MIDI and Overture file here Overture
I checked out 0:37 and 2:31 and everything seems OK. I'll take a look closer look tomorrow morning with the score when I'm fresh.
