mbox and giga3 expert?? ...please help!

Firstly, gratitude and respect to all the info volunteers here..I am trying to ditch Rewire, and improve latency in PTle, so I just bought a Tascam Us122 with gsif2, and hopefully better latency.
Is there a speedy way to set up midi in/out via the Us122...and how do get audio from giga into to PT...lame question, but you could save me a lot of time if you're familiar with this setup.

    System settings,

    Hardware

Under hardware adapter, your sound card AND your us-122 should be available to choose (but you can only choose one of them).

    Ok , now i'm really confused:>!

    when you say >System settings,
    Hardware
    Under hardware adapter<

which software are you referring to..??...

I have an mbox, a Tascam us 122, and Gigastudio 3 ork.
    thanks j

I don't see a set of commands System settings/Hardware/hardware adapter..

If you are referring to the us-122 , because i don'yt have any kind opf controller icon on my desktop...maybe I have try re-installing us122 software.

basically, this is where I am:

Mbox and Pt are working fine together...I have just one keyboard coming thru the Us122 Midi in, (into PT), and PT sees that with no problems.

Giga 3 seems to be working fine on it's own, with it's virual keyboard but it does not appear to see the midi signal coming from ptools.

Ok Giga has now stopped showing midi signal when I play the virtual keyboard..
    I don't know why...

Also when i play my proper keyboard, should the "external midi" buttons (12345678) show red in colour when signal is coming in?

If so, it worked for 5 seconds before Giga STOPPED seeing any midi, even from the virtual keyboard.
Please don't tell me to re-install GIGA..I've been to hell and back with GIGA and registration this year already.
All I want from giga is some drums, and a nice piano!

OK .. found the hardware adaptor...in configuration manager..
it seems to default to US-122
    sample rate 44100
    bit depth 24
I assume the midi ports should all be set to GSIF low latency.
    still no solution

One fundamental part of my problem is this:
The US-122 is reading midi coming in from my keyboard ...but Giga3 is not.

Another fundamental part of my problem...

    in stand alone mode:
I select an instrument in Midi 1...it loads...but nothing happens when i play
the virtual keyboard...but nothing happens when I play my proper keyboard either....is this because I have the "EXTERNAL MIDI" sign flashing?
If so , how do I turn off external midi?
Ok I am definitely talking to myself now!!

    hellooo?

    ........
I have the "external Midi" flashing, when Giga cannot reach the interface
ports it's in ports are assigned to (e.g. because the interface is turned off
or the cable to the interface is broken).

Did you assign the Midi In Ports of Giga to the Midi ports of your interface?
(In Giga: File>System Settings>Hardware Tab, in the "Midi Configuration"-
Area assign Midi In Port 1 of Giga to the proper Midi Port of the Interface..)

    Matt
