Virtual Instruments Magazine available for subscribers to download

Okay, sorry to take advantage of NS's hospitality, but I wanted to get the word out that subscribers to either the print or PDF version can register to download the PDF of our first issue.

Just go to www.VirtualInstrumentsMag.com and click on the link; the process of getting the password will take a little while - it requires that we send it to you (a better choice than forcing new subscribers to go through PayPal, which we don't use anymore) - but you'll only have to do it once.

If you don't see the link, that means the page is cached and you need to reload it.

Happy reading, and please let us know what you think.

(We've compiled a sub list but not yet an email bomb list, hence the announcement here.)

    Testing one, two, thre...

Yo Alan, did you get the automated confirmation email?

The system is sending them my address - just want to make sure the recipients are getting them too.

    Thanks.

Yes - it just arrived with the account info and the DL was fast, smooth and easy (a lot like my last girlfriend) - thanks Nick, I'm sitting down to read now.

What happened to the first 100 pages?

Alan, what did you say her number was?

Are the pixelated ads due to developers not giving you appropriatly sized images and them having to be blown up? or was the PDF resolution knocked down too far to save bandwidth? I don't want to name names but some of the ads are almost unreadable... unlike the beautiful articles.

Edit: Nevermind - the inconsistency of the pixelation means it was on the devs/company's end and not yours. Great job with the mag Nick!

    Thanks on all accounts, Alan.

You're right - a couple of the ads are pixelated. I'll see whether we can do something about that. They don't look like that in print. And yes, the PDF is scaled down to 7MB in order to cut down on the shouting.

Bill - yeah, I know. I know. But we're working fast here. Sorry.

Well, it looks beautiful. I used to work in the graphic arts, so appreciate it.
