It was painfully obvious that this had been schemed in the PNAC asylum years before.

But nobody seems to care that the whole country was lied to. That's what's so frightening.

Yup, the last thing I fear when I wake up is Bin Laden. Those PNAC guys make him look like a choir boy. I hoped the country would wake up after 9/11, seems it was just brain dammaged.

The story seems to have legs, and the country is increasingly fed up with this war, the majority now saying it was a mistake.

It takes people like us talking about it to show them -- via these memos -- that it was not only a mistake, but a calculated move based on deception. Because of Bush and Blair's lies, thousands of people are dead, including young Americans.

If we were only talking about one memo, this might make sense. But we have the testimony and statements written by several Bush "insiders," we have more British memos coming out, we have Bush's own words to his ghost writer, we have the PNAC documents, we have the written policy of Wolfawitz back when he was Bush Sr.'s man as well as more recent statements, we have the fact that no WMD were found, the proof that Saddam posed no threat to us and the statements of the intelligence community PRIOR to the war that the Bush White House was putting pressure on them to find "evidence" of WMDs.

It's easy to dismiss a single memo, as the White House has done, but when you put ALL of the evidence together, the picture is pretty damning.

And while Kaplan seems to dismiss these documents, let's remember the very damning statement made in the Downing Street minutes: "Intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

That is not an ambiguous statement.

Hey, check out the Newsweek homepage!

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032542/site/newsweek/

Now if they'll just slap this on next week's cover ...

Also, rob, your link doesn't work, but here's a good one in case you guys don't already have it:

    http://www.downingstreetmemo.com/

There's a really good section that debunks the debunkers.
