    Acoustical Guitar Samples Query

I see some older posts, but I am wondering what people are using out there right now for acoustical guitar samples - nylon or metal. I got a project that needs guitar, but I don't like my old samples.

Also, anyone using or have opinions about: Matt Ragan: Max Strength Acoustic Guitar?

My favorite (no strums) is the acoustic guitar from Hans Zimmer's Guitars Vol II, followed by the ones on Pure Guitars from Yellow Tools.

I'm a big fan of the acoustic guitar patches that come with the Kontakt 1 library. I personally have not found better.

You may want to check out the acoustic archtop guitars in the Vintage Jazz Guitars and Tenor Banjos collection from Bardstown Audio. There are numerous demos on our web site of these acoustic archtop guitars.

Bardstown's Archtop is nice. VSL's Horizon Series Nylon is nice. Matt Ragan's Steel String Acoustic is nice. Danny Lux's Acoustic Essentials is a nice strum library, as is Jim Corrigan's High-Strung (for that Eagles/Nashville kind of sound).

    All Giga.

Funny you should mention this....I just got an e-mail from these guys:

Upon a quick listen of the demo I think there might be something there!

Also...I'd like to mention that my new favorite acoustic steel string guitar is none other than the one built into Garageband and also accessible from Logic. I think it's simply a great little jem....before that I always gravitated to the Hans Zimmer stuff, but the new Garageband guitar really blows it away and imho sounds better than the Horizon stuff.

The Bardstown Vintage Jazz Guitars and Tenor Banjos are in Giga format, in addition to Kontakt, Kompakt, HALion, and EXS24.
