I just thought I'd lighten things up a bit around here with the next chapter from my goofy mom saga story thing.

Mom just did a load of wash and when she came to my room to give me my clean laundry, she randomly decided to hang up a single pair of khakis in my closet for me. I wouldn't argue with that. She hung it up and I checked to make sure it was in the right place. Then I noticed something: she hung it on a lavender hangar from HER closet!! What a DISGRACE!! I called over and said in a very authoritative voice, "Did you do this? You KNOW that khakis go on GREEN hangars ONLY!!" Then she apologized and continued working on her hat. (she buys blank hats and decorates them herself) Then I decided to REALLY stretch it! I said, "On top of that, the hangar you used was lavender! The color of LILAC, which I'm ALLERGIC to. Are you trying to KILL me??!!?! What kind of loving mother are YOU??!!?!!?!" Then she replied, "I didn't feed the fish." (we don't have a fish) "I didn't feed it! And now we don't have one because I didn't feed it!!!" Then she let out the loudest Lucy cry in the world! "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!"
She cried on my shoulder for a while and now I'm here.
    How's that for goofy?

I have the most entertaining and best mom in the world!!

My dear young chap - the English language should be your friend - these words will be your tools in life -

Not little lambs to be mercilessly butchered - Alright young man!

I realise you're American - but this is no excuse. LOL!

You will notice that 'alright' only has the one L btw. No point in wasting time and energy promoting this particular word with two L's is there?

My grandma has a sauna in her house. She hates it. It takes up space and she just uses it as a closet. She doesn't get the point of just sitting around and sweating.
    Eventually she'll figure it out!

Colour, flavour etc - always the giveaway when writing to a Yank

That, and the proper use of grammar and punctuation of course - always confuses them.

On a documentary this evening, Ray Mears actually said ' off of' instead of 'from' - this is an American virus that will need some serious treatment.

    YANK! (Sputter, sputter)

Them thars fighting words, pardner! You be talking to a citizen of the great Republic of Texas (albeit momentarily displaced to Florida).

    ;-)

ps - and no disparaging remarks about George Dubya and Texas...he's not a Texican...he's a carpetbagger from Conneticut or some such place.

OMG - you should have said Texas - that's a completely different kettle of fish!

Having to slum it in Florida must be a bit of a headache!

Texans can do no wrong and are certainly outside of the Yank bracket! My favourite state - although I've never been to America.

California and all those states - bunch of pansies!

Ern doesn't even know why Chatsworth is called Chatsworth!

Californians - bunch of poof Liberals!

    Good to know ya Tex!
