I read on the Nemesys site that ATA Ultra drives are preferred over SCSI because of the 32 bit PCI bandwidth (which the SCSI drive uses via an SCSI adapter on a PCI slot).
My drive is an Ultra 3 160mps drive with an Adaptec 160 card that I use for video editing. My seek time is 6.9 ms. I\'d like to use this for Gigastudio.
Will I have any problems using Giga with this drive?
My processor is a classic Athlon 700 mhz with 256 MB of RAM.
Also, my Adaptec also supports 64 bit slots. Are there mother boards that have 64 bit PCI slots and would that help the bandwith situation?
