My church is producing 3 min announcer spots (2 voices with music) by using Audacity. It's freeware. I'd prefer they used Pro Tools Mbox or mackie Spike.
But for real basic stuff audacity is ok. good for digitizing your cd collection or doing basic playback and editing.

    Sincerely,

    Jonathan

for a good cheap / free multitrack editor I'd reccomend Goldwave, I like it quite a bit more than audacity.

you can do any thing on that, use more than two tracks, and also import video for surround mixing..

    this is the best
Wavelab 5 costs $549. If that's considered "cheap" to you can you please send me a few hundred dollars. I'm sure you won't even notice they're missing
Wavelab Essential is only $199 though, but I'm sure Goldwave will do the job fine.

Would you mind if I come over to your house and steal your speakers?

I really need them and I can't afford to buy my own... And I really want yours..

So if you don't mind, what I'm going to do is come over to your house and get them because I need them.

How 'bout I come over tonight while you're sleeping and pick them up?

I'm sure you won't mind because it so easy for me to get them... I don't even mind coming over to your house... in fact, you don't even have to be there.

I'll just get them when you're not looking. You won't even notice that I've got them.

    =-=-=

THAT'S what it feels like to have someone steal your stuff.

Remember that developers are people too... Every time you steal from us, WE come closer to NOT doing this for a living anymore.

    Best to all!

Thanks for that Larry, I wanted to say pretty much the same thing, except I'd have been a little more, colorful.
