    9 Beet Stretch

Don't know if this ever showed up here:

"9 Beet Stretch is Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th symphony stretched to 24 hours, with no pitch distortions."

    Streaming and download links available.

I've worked with time-stretching of sound to generate extended textures, but this is really taking it to the extreme!

Thanks for the link, it was anyway interesting, I agree. But...

I can't believe that people take it seriously!
I appreciate the innovative approach to the audio manipulation, that let you experiment new ways of hearing music. But that's all!

To create a "manifesto", a big site, interview, articles, DVD, seems to me excessive, and a big suspect enter my mind:
Isn't it a way to try to make money and attract attention of the ingenuous modern art enthusiast?

(what kind of artistic effort is to describe a 24Hrs time to strech with a computer an existing recording of 9th symphony OR Mozart's Requiem?!? it's really only a big joke: the creator must laugh like a crazy, reading serious comments...)

I certainly agree with you! I suppose to turn it into such a serious effort is an art all by itself!
