    Question K2 as standalone?

    hello!

anyone uses K2 as a standalone app??
I am considering dedicating a PC for it . Does it make sense to do that to increase stability and horsepower??

    best regards

Yes, I consider to dedicate a PC too for a standalone K2. I´m currently testing K2 on a AMD 2400+ with 1GB memory. The demo piano flutters. No more problems until today. I use EWSO.

that makes no sense at all! a mac costs at least 2 times more.
and dont trust this dell vs. g5 lie if you buy the parts yourself a pc that is nearly as fast as a dual g5 2ghz costs about 1000$ thats it!

    Re: K2 as standalone?

I use it on a dedicated PC and a VST in my sequencer. K2 with its 16 chn. to each 4 ports and its mixer lets it function alot like GS3 (which i barely have to use anymore..). Plus on a dedicated PC with Forte or V-stack , all your VSTi`s can co-exist together inside and can be loaded all at once... Very slick... Rich

Thumbs up Re: K2 as standalone?

    Thanks everyone!

I will give it a shot as either standalone or with Forte VST rack.
    I'll post my results soon!

    best regards

    Re: K2 as standalone?

Is it only possible to use the multiple midi-port feature of K2 in standalone mode, or can it be used in VST and DXi modes with any hosts?
