    Heavy Metal Guitar Lib?

The metal drum thread got me thinking about guitars in that style. I'm trying to figure out how to improve an already pretty good sound. I'm throwing a tele double coil into a Mesa formula pre and then out any number of speakers (or direct) The graphic helps and I think the sound just needs to be a bit more mid-rangy or something or a slightly more biting distortion, but these things are hard to talk about.

I'm wondering if there's an easy way to get the rest of the way there without buying the Marshall and the powersoak and all that jazz. A library to stack sounds would be cool or maybe an effective plugin.

    Any thoughts metal-heads? Thanks

Amplitube 2.0 (out later this month) allows multiple signal paths among other stuff. Project 6 is a sampled PRS through a Dual Rec...might be nice for layering with real guitar.

    Don't get a POD!
    It's AD/DA converters are horrible!
If it has to be an amp sim at least use a Sans Amp:

If lucky enough, you could try to find one of these guys:

If not, check Vox ToneLab, it comes with toooobes.

My POD XT sounds much better than the POD I had before this...

Converters were changed... and everything else changed...

It is the best piece of guitar hardware for speedy studio work I have...

No, it's not a plugin. It doesn't even need a computer. But I've had my eye on one of these for a while:
