    Jenny's Chickens

    some traditional irish dance music.
    a reel called Jenny's Chickens based on the playing of the late great Michael Coleman.

    instruments
    GPO piano
    GPO guarani solo fiddle
    GM accordeon suitably eq'ed
    and a bodhrán patch from another library
    arranged in Overture
    finished in Cubase

    before this post sinks into the obscurity that is page 2 of this section, i haxe remixed this wee thing and added another reel called Joe Cooley's, in which i have tried to emulate the donegall or northern style of fiddle playing.

    thanks gary for the o'guarani solo fiddle.

    Wow! Amazingly authentic-sounding and full of raw energy! I thought I was at a pub in Sligo. Smithwicks are on me next time at the Silver Swan I can't believe the way our mild-mannered little Guarneri cut loose on this piece. What was it drinking?

    These are terrific! I enjoyed them very much. This type of music inspired the "Hoedowns" in the United States many years ago.

    Are you an Irish dude currently living in The Netherlands?

    aye larry i am indeed an "irish dude" in holland.

    funny you should mention pubs in sligo dan but micheal coleman was one of the great sligo fiddle players.
