Thumbs up G3 Bard Bosendorfer sounds better..

When I finally upgraded from Giga 2.5 to G3, one of the first samples I got was the Bardstown Bosendorfer. After working through a myriad of problems (not related to the sample), and finally upgrading my system to a P4, I've had a chance to relax and just play this lovely piano...

I've always been a fan, but this new 24 bit G3 version just blows me away. You can argue about 24 bit and 16 bit all day, but there is a a brilliance or "presence" that comes through in the G3 version that is quite noticeable to me.

One thing, too, is that I'm able to use lower latency settings on my soundcard. So playing the piano feels much tighter.

Better playability and better sound: '05 is looking better already!

    Sporter,

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the 24 bit Bards Borsendorfer.
Can you post a brief demo of it down the road. (Maybe with an added acoustic bass possibly)

I'll try, Alan...it's so nice to have everything working again I'm just enjoying playing right now. I'm getting some interesting stuff with Gigapulse, too.

For piano in a studio setting I really like the Media Ventures live room. It's like Baby Bear's porridge - just right.
