    Problem With RMX and Tracktion

Hi , I just got Stylus RMX yesterday and I stuck it on my sampler PC to play around with while my main PC was in the shop .

I installed the free version of Tracktion and all is well when I manipulate with my mouse .

When I try to play in stuff in Groove Menu MIDI mode I get random loud buzzes coming out when I press the keys on my controller . It happens a lot .

Is there any way around this problem ? Will I have to wait till my main PC is back w/ Nuendo to be able to use RMX in Groove Menu MIDI Mode ?

    The sampler PC is 2g P4 w/ 1024 pc2100 . XP sp1

    Thanks ,

Unhappy Re: Problem With RMX and Tracktion

    Hi ,

I put Cubase 5.1 on the same PC and I still get the growling .

I DL'ed the updates and insatlled them before I registered .

I guess I will try to reinstall again .

If anyone can lend some advice it would be much appreciated .

    Thanks ,

Sounds like it might be a driver issue?

    Hi ,

Thanks for taking the time to reply .

Man , you are even helping on the weekends - first time I have seen that !!

Now , are you suggesting RMX drivers ?

If it helps - The soundcard is an Emu 1212m w/ the 1820m audio dock hooked to it . I am using an Edirol PCR80 as a controller . I do not have the PCR editor installed .

Both Stylus RMX and Tracktion emit noise when unauthorized, so make sure you've authorized both of them. Also, make sure you use a good quality ASIO driver, like http://www.asio4all.com

Re: Problem With RMX and Tracktion

Hi , maybe I did not authorize RMX the right way . I will give it another go after football . I know Tracktion is registered as it says my name when it loads .

I have Emu ASIO drivers chosen as they are the suggested ones for my card .

Does the authorize button still hang around on the main interface after you authorize ? There is still a tab for mine ...

I thought I did it the right way though - got the email and all .

    Thanks for the help !

Re: Problem With RMX and Tracktion

Well , I replaced every possible driver and registered the RMX twice now and I still have the growling . I tried 3 MIDI ins and 2 Controllers as well as many many settings on the sound card and nothing improved it .

I will just wait till my main PC gets back and try on that one . Hopefully that goes well .

    Thanks for the help

If you see "Demo" in the footer and an "Authorize" button, then no, you haven't authorized yet. Make sure you have the latest version of RMX and try the authorization process again.

I figured that out by looking at the tutorials . I could not get the first response to work so I reregestered it before I did all the other stuff .

    Thanks again !
