I am now sound designing commercial breaks for RUSH Radio!
I just had to share this news with fellow NS Rush fans

    What a dream!

My spots will be online within the next few days.

    you lucky b*******

I saw them live a few months ago, on their UK tour. Great set, but it was so shocking to see that the rest of the audience was middle-aged, grey and/or balding ... just like me.

But the biggest shock was that everyone sat on their bums ... even during 2112. When I first saw them in the early eighties, the moment they hit the stage and the crowd went ape-~~~~ ... havng never been to a rock concert before I thought a riot had broken out. It was one of the most thrilling moments of my life (sad huh). This time when they came stage, everyone remained seated .. and just appluaded .... I still haven't gotten over it.

Any discounts on your products for fellow rush-heads?

Awesome Frank! I know how exciting this must be for you. I just bought my first Rush album a week ago thanks to you. Still haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.

Wow. Way cool. I haven't listened to Rush Radio in a year, but I'm about to start again... Congrats.

See if you can use your new position to force them to remaster Vapor Trails...

LOL. Yea! I want to hear the non-clipping studio version of "Secret Touch"!

    Thanks everyone. Big time!!

I wanted to clarify what I am doing. When I say "commercial breaks" these are 5, 15 and 30 second spots that welcome and/or inform the listener that they are "Listening to Rush Radio".

The best part - I am allowed to take multi Rush tracks and slice and dice. Then toss in sound design and a dash O' VO. Done.

The first spot is based on Counter Parts.

Err, back to the kiddie edits

ps. I'd love to share some spots here but I can't post commercial tracks on NS.

See if you can find the single (I'll see if I still have it). The clipping is reduced a LOT. I probably only noticed it because I was listening for it. But it sounds waaaaaay better -- brighter, too. Of course, it's two minutes shorter, as well. One should never edit a Rush song. That is, unless that person is making commercial spots for Rush Radio, of course...
