Weird crackle-pop noise in GPO with Cubase

    Hi!

I'm using Cubase SX on PC Windows XP, 2.8MHz Inter HT with 1GB ram. My soundcard is Terratec EWS88MT.

There's been some discussion about this same noise-problem on mac also, i think. Here's how i got it: just create two midi tracks and make an own player for each one. Then I loaded one instrument on each. I get the weird sound when recording, listening and exporting to audio. And it's random.

Here you can listen to the problem:
    -http://www.lbi-digital.com/weird-noise-demo.mp3 (audio export)
    -http://www.lbi-digital.com/weird-noise-demo.cpr (cubase SX project)

Can anyone help me with this? I really can't do anything, if this is how it works. I tried to change my soundcards ASIO latency-times (buffer sizes) and also DMA latency.. didn't do anything.

    Please help!

    Juhana

    Juhana,

First of all, turn off hyperthreading. The Kontakt player does not support it - it will cause glitches in the audio if turned on. See if that fixes the problem.
