A Kerry Presidency: The First 12 Months

    sponsored links

    ***Advertisments***
In case, God forbid, John Kerry is elected president tomorrow, here's what we should expect from January-December, 2005, based on Kerry's statements:

    1. Osama Bin Laden will be captured and/or killed.
    2. Kerry will hold his "International Meeting" re: Iraq. European countries including some or all of the following (France, Germany, etc) will provide troops for Iraq.
    3. An Iraq troop pullout will begin within 4 months of him taking office.
    4. Stem cell ban will be lifted in Jan or Feb, 2005.
    5. The top tier tax relief will be rescinded, creating a tax gap. This will force Kerry into finding new funding methods for his programs.

I'll continue to add more as I collect them.

This would create more funding for his programs, not less.

I think you mean God willing.

If he is elected, and I have every reason to believe he will be, then don't you think you should at least give him the benefit of the doubt as most Americans did Bush in the first few months (especially after a clear lack of a mandate and a very questionable election)?

Our hatred of Bush and his policies is based on what he's DONE for the last four years. He has proven to be one of the most inept Presidents we've ever had to suffer through.

Kerry, on the other hand, hasn't spent a second in the oval office and you're already gearing up for the attack.

    Amazing.

By the way, he said he would START bringing the troops home in SIX months, not four.

After all Bush's lies, his propoganda, his administration's mishandling of our economy, after all their intentions to create bad will in the world, this is all you've got, huh?

    Take an ethics course.

    Eric,
I think you are confused about some of these:

    1. Osama Bin Laden will be captured and/or killed.
If we happen to gain intelligence about Bin Laden's whereabouts, Kerry will use U.S. forces to try to get him, not Afghan warlords like Bush did.

    2. Kerry will hold his "International Meeting" re: Iraq. European countries including some or all of the following (France, Germany, etc) will provide troops for Iraq.
I do believe Kerry WILL be able to gain SOME additional international support by awarding some of these countries "rebuilding contracts" instead of sticking with Bush's stupid "we fought the war, therefore US companies should get all of the lucrative government contracts" stance. Also, I am sure that Kerry WILL "fire Haliburton" if he has any chance of doing so.

    3. An Iraq troop pullout will begin within 4 months of him taking office.
Unfortunately this won't be possible given the absolute MESS Bush has created in Iraq.

    4. Stem cell ban will be lifted in Jan or Feb, 2005.
If possible, absolutely. Stem Cell research is a basic "issue difference" between Bush and Kerry.

    5. The top tier tax relief will be rescinded, creating a tax gap. This will force Kerry into finding new funding methods for his programs.
I think your "math" is backwards here. Kery wants to rescind a Tax CUT for the wealthy, which will ADD tax revenue.

Exclamation Re: A Kerry Presidency: The First 12 Months

    Hi Eric. Here's five more:

01 The post of Secretary of Defence will be offered to Sarah Jessica Parker (because Kerry likes the length of her face). If she turns it down, Jane Fonda gets it (same reason).
02 All children under sixteen years old will be deemed sixteen years old.
03 All of Woody Allen's old jokes will be declared government property.
05 William Shatner will be forced at gunpoint to wear his original Kirk costume until the day he dies.
06 The Devil will be officially granted American citizenship, and cordially invited to run amoke in the nude, and set fire to anyone earning more than $15,000 a year. Mr Satan will also head-up a newly combined stem cell/cloning team to recreate Karl Marx in the form of an indestructable socialist, homosexual, muslim atheist with the face of Jane Fonda (or Sarah Jessica Parker).
03 American schools will replace numeracy skills with classes teaching the benefits of irony.
03 Free money, food, , and luxury housing for everyone earning less than $15,000 a year.
03 Everyone in jail will be immediately released and granted three wishes.
001 A nationwide inquest will be held to discover exactly why all Republicans are uptight, passive aggresive types with overly neat hair, rigid body posture, and whom make loud public statements about moral righteousness while packing their cellars absolutley chock-full of strangled prostitutes.

    Don't Delay. Vote Bush today!!!!!!!!

Re: A Kerry Presidency: The First 12 Months

Prophetic words..... if Kerry is elected president the next 12 months will user in the worst recession the U.S. has ever known - yes worst than the last 4 years. His increase in taxes will kill the economy, and while he says he's going to "keep jobs at home" it's bull crap because any smart business man will take his work off shore... simply because of taxes and the crazy laws Kerry would put into place. The middle class will be the people who carry the brunt of the "tax roll backs" because the "higher income" americans are almost across the board business owners, and know how to shelter their funds - including Kerry.

John Kerry is a socialist, and that's fine if you're in Europe and like socialism, but it's not American. Productity will be at an all time low if John Kerry's tax laws get put into place. Reality is the majority of votes for Kerry are mostly votes against Bush - not votes because people have taken time to educate themselves about John Kerry.

But I realize that most musicians and people in entertainment choose not to be well educated voters... so Eric and I will simply be the lone voices for our president
