Best Galaxy - Steinway D review

    Hi,

I've bought the "Galaxy Steinway D" since several months.

This piano is only sampled with the pedal up. No releases samples at all. Not Chromatic Sampled. ( in the case of most of sampled Piano). Only the Eastwest Steinway B is Chromatic Sampled.

According to me it's important to have all of the 88 keys sampled.

The Galaxy Steinway D is very good tuned and the 10 real velocity are very nice. I've never heard such samples. The sound is powerfull, clear and real.

The programing/presets are poor. The Kompakt player can't reproduce the "Piano release mode". The pedal behaviour is wrong.

They are no support and updates. The only good thing is the 5.1 feature and the beautifull sound.

This product is not finished. And it's sad because the Piano was good but some samples are missing.

It could be the best sampled piano. And i'm still waiting for a real Piano.

Gigastudio 3 is a powerfull tool for Piano. Emperor, Black Grand, Vintaudio Yamaha are good products. But i still waiting a very good piano.

And i'm still using the EW-Steinway B with special programming.

Please !!!!Olivier Truan you have to make another piano !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, they are some serious developpers :

    Thanks Olivier,

I always read your posts become your taste in pianos seems to be very close to mine. One of these days we'll finally get that piano - one that sounds real.

You should've gone for "White Grand"!

    Olivier,

That is not true. Art Vista Malmsjö is chromatically sampled.

    Hi,

    Sorry.

I don't have your Malmsjo. And you have to be proud to sample chromatically !!!!

What others piano's are chromatically sampled ?

    The Vintaudio Yamaha ?

    Regards,

    Olivier

Well, Olivier, are you the same Olivier who posted those other messages about the Galaxy Steinway D one-two days after you bought it ? If someone reads your posts on that day and this one above will be confused about this library.

I certainly agree with you on : sampling quality is very good, and official updates are not availabe which is a sad thing.

    regards
