Is it possible to freeze instruments using GS3?

This an amazing feature that is possible with any VST based instrument. Does GS3 support it?

Is this silence a "no" or "I don´t know"?

I am not sure, but I think the answer is no. Unless, of course, you use some FX-Freeze ware with Giga-VSTAdapter or whatever is called.
    sorry.....

The "freezability" of GS3 is based on your VST host. Some hosts which have a freeze function can handle freezing of Rewire slaves.

I currently sequence in Tracktion and it freezes GS3 Rewire tracks without any problems. Both 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 have been stable for me with respect to freezing.

Actually I've been pleasantly surprised at the stability of Tracktion and GS3 from day one.

Well, then it works, but you are limited to rewire, right?

Yes, this is limited to Rewire mode only because the audio capture function in GS3 is independent of the ASIO stream which is manipulated by the Freeze function in most DAW's.

How is this a limitation? Audio comes into the DAW, it gets rendered, GS can be shut down. CPU cycles saved.

Because in rewire mode you can´t use GSIF2 drivers wich IMHO is the only feature that really makes GS better than the others.

    Or can you?
