    To Sonar users

I posted this on Sonar forum without a success. I hope GPO users may have some ideas.
I load 4 instances of Kontakt player - 32 GPO instruments with 32 DXi tracks (not bounced yet). Some DXi tracks have EQ enabled. Each of 3 buses has inserted TrueVerb.
The problem starts when I enable "Show numeric value" option in "Show All Meters". CPU goes from 50% up to 100% on 2.4Ghz P4. Playback stops with Dropout displayed.
    Is it normal?
How much CPU does "Show numeric value" take on yours?
    Thanks

    Question Re: To Sonar users

I don't use Sonar or TrueVerb, but to me it sounds like the computer is having trouble running all of those sounds *and* the taxation for updating your display. Is is possible to run one instance of TrueVerb and just use a send to it? Are your settings so radically different that you need three separate instaces? My guess is that if you could set it up where only one instance of TrueVerb is being used that you'd have enough headroom to run all of the screen updates in the world.

    I use SONAR 3.1.1 PE.
    I have and Athlon64 3200+, at 5.8ms latency. I don't have TrueVerb so I can't give a truly valid comparison.

Here are the numbers on a fairly good-size project:

7 Kontakt player instances with most slots full routed to 12 separate audio tracks (not mixed down)
EQ on 6 of the audio tracks
2 reverb busses with Sonitus reverb
1 master bus with Sonitus compression

CPU at idle with number display and meters off: 20-21% (SONAR's CPU figure)
CPU at idle with number display off and meters on: 21-24%
CPU at idle with number display and meters on: 23-26%

    Similar difference when playing.

That's the difference I'd be happy with! That proves something's wrong with my setup. I hope someone else could confirm 3 to 10% difference.
Thank you for taking your time.
