    From DVD land

Over the weekend, I wrote these for a straight-to-DVD release. The GPO/Overture Combo is getting faster to use as I stick with it. I cranked these out as fast as I could, as it was due this Monday. "Bravehearty", I am going to improve a little, as it was written midnight morning of the deadline.

Pretty darn good for a weekend's work! Are you a fan of the caffiene, by chance?

But seriously, aren't deadlines great? I know I always work best under pressure.

No Caffiene! I was too busy to make a pot of coffee. Haha. But after this weekend, I really fell in love with GPO lke never before. Just being able to use mod wheel for expression and velocity for attack is so quick for such a decent mock-up.

The only things I felt missing were solo ff brass (cuivre sound), super sharp attacks on some instruments, string harmonics, and hard stopped french horns.

Glad you guys like the music. I'll update "Bravehearty" when I fine tune it.

Deadlines, and images to write to, are great. Writing functional music allows you to narrow down alot of ideas to just a few. But I'm looking forward to taking some time on the GPO contest pieces now. Sweet time. Ahhh.

Cool stuff! Is this for underscore or those menu underscores that repeat?

Congrats! I hope you don't always have to work under such constraints.

I have a theory that things that sound this good just come naturally when you have such a cool last name. Well, I said it was just a theory. . .

    Jesse,

    Brilliant work.

You are a most prolific composer. I like them all!

Was this really done with a notation program? You have great composition skills and a very good feel for the library. Very diverse and vivid orchestral colors.

You asked about sharper attacks. They are in the upcoming updates which are now in beta. If you would like, email me and I'll see what I can do about getting your a beta copy.

Would you mind if these are posted on the GPO site? Thanks for posting these.
