"Elephantopia" - GPO, Percussive Adventures 2 lite & Atmosphere

I just finished this piece this evening. It is VERY different than my normal fare. Hope you enjoy it. Any suggestions appreciated.

It uses the GPO bassoon and oboe, Percussive Adventures 2 lite, Atmosphere for the bass and yours truly on trombone.

It's called Elephantopia for reasons that should become obvious when you listen.

I like it! Could be a commercial for the anti-SUV! Funny, yet powerful. Gets a bit disjointed around 1:20 or so, that lower counterpoint voice (bassoon?) could be mixed lower, or even eliminated altogether, IMHO, but a neat pictorial, nonetheless.

    Thanks Dasher!

Disjointed might be ok with a group of elephants having a party.

I'll give that part a listen with that in mind.

Martin, what I mean, specifically; the basson doesn't seem to always be part of the ensemble - the line it plays doesn't mesh as well as the other instruments. But only in a few spots. May even be deliberate, but it doesn't feel like it to me.

But what do I know? I play jazz and R&B. If it feels right to you, then it IS right...

    Dasher,

I understood what you meant. I was just being a smarta**.

I agree with you and will be doing some rework on that part.
