DPDAN's first attempt with midi and GPO

I posted this previously, but this version has the piccolo instead of a flute at the end like it should. I did this by ear copying the original demo from Garritan's website. I will have another piece done pretty soon that I did for fun, well it's all fun!

In Italy we would comment saying: "me' cojoni!", or "'sti cazzi!". It's slang and, softly translated in English, means approximately: "You did an excellent job!"... :-)

This is a cut off of a CD that I recorded two years ago for Rick Zelle and I used GPO for sweetening with just two string parts.

Well, Well Deep E, Most interesting to compare this to one of the original Duncan Brinsmead renditions (from memory). This is very, very, very, very nice. Well done!!, The last three 'very's ' are down to the devil's brew!

Well, Dan, I think you know how high I hold your musical abilities. The Largo is very nice, very nice in deed. I have to say that I really love the work you did on All the way. For all that I love classical music, having gone to Berklee and having played a lot of jazz and lounge music when I was young, this kind of beautiful work brings back so many wonderful memories of the interaction between musicians that can only occur when playing things like this. If this is an example of the kind of music you were telling me about on the phone, I certainly would love to hear more.

Thanks so much for posting these,

    Karl

Thank you Karl, this is just one big mutual admiration society meeting here LOL! I still have your address and will send you some CD goodies!

Thank you for your kind words Frank, thank you thank you!

Chin, I appreciate the Italian slang I'm glad you like it.

I hear lots of good stuff here and just want mine to be mixed in there somewhere.

Thank you for listening folks, Dan

    Dan,

I was revisiting this rendition and thought it warranted a bump. Would you mind sharing the MIDI/Sequencer file for this?

    The original version is here:

    Dan's version is here:

What do others think about the two versions? What are the strneths and weakness of each?

    Hi Mr Gary!
I have never exported a midi file before and don't know how, so I will contact Karl and ask him how I can do that. It was done with Digital Performer. I am just now posting a piece of music that maybe you can use on the demo page of the website if it is something that you would like to use. It's Danny Boy.
    Thanks Gary!
    Dan
