First GPO project - GPO does \"inspirational\"

Hey all in Garritanville,

I\'m currently working through a 10-piece project for a client desiring orchestral parts to augment his inspirational music. Keyboard, bass, drumset, guitar, and vocal parts will be added to my orchestration.

This is the first in the project that is almost completely GPO - it\'s really sped up the workflow, especially in final exporting of each part. It\'s much faster exporting inside Sonar than capturing waves in real-time using Giga. I also spend muuuuuch less time tweaking and more time playing, which is always much more fun. Why aren\'t more libs programmed like GPO?

Here\'s the piece - no mixing to speak of, just a client-supplied scratch piano part, with above mentioned parts still to be added. I\'m also aware of the encoding glitch at :49.

It\'s tough to orchestrate around parts that aren\'t there yet! Client is looking for Karl Jenkins \"Adiemus\"-like textures. Any feedback is appreciated.

Wow... this is nice... can\'t wait for the finished piece.
(Will you post that also ?)

I have to side with my countryman on this I love it! Hard to believe this is a sampled orchestra... Wouldn\'t know what to change... I think it\'s well balanced and very smooth, love the sweeping strings.

Great job!

Thanks, guys. Ron, I\'m not sure if I\'ll be able to post the finished piece or not. What you hear is the extent of my collaboration - I was only hired for the strings, winds, and supplemental percussion. After that, I\'m done!

At any rate, thanks for taking time to listen!

This piece is beautiful man. Really beautiful. What is the title of it? I have a stupid little thing in my profile where I put up a song of the week (author and title). I have to post this. It is breath taking.

Very nice indeed Eric.....catchy title too! \'cbbh\'

I loved the heavy base drum with the strings and piano.

I also look forward to hearing the final rendition.

Heh - title. I guess I left out that bit of information. The working title is \"Come Bow Before Him.\" I assume the client (songwriter) will use that as the final title.

I may or may not be able to post the final version, since I\'m not involved in the rest of the project beyond my work-for-hire orchestration. I could only post this because I reserve the right to do so for \"collaborative feedback\" on such projects.

Anyway, thanks again for the \"collaborative feedback\" and for taking time to listen.

Eric,

This is very moving and inspired. Excellent orchestration, instrument blend and mixing. It would be great to post it on the GPO site - if the songwriter would permit it.

Reserving the right to post for \"collaberative feedback\" is a brilliant idea to work around some of the rules that musicians are constrained with. The \"collaberative feedback\" clause should be part of the disclaimer for every GPO orchestrator.

Thanks for sharing this.

So, what did you say what was wrong with this?
Very \"inspirational\" indeed! Nice orchestration and balance. Can I give it more than five ******\'s? Oh! Would you look at that...six!
Gary, what happend to the \"thumbs up\"?
