    What more can I say other than, "Thank you." Such a delightful piece of music and wonderfully orchestrated. Sophisticated simplicity at its best.

    Thank you for listening and commenting. You know by now that I have some kind of crush for these little amusing beauties. Here I have a collection consisting of at least 3000 such dances and airs, all collected in the Flemish archives. I've made some 150 arrangements so far (for my former chamber orchestra). That means a lot of work to come...

    Thanks, Larry. I know you like that kind of music. The oboe da caccia makes it a little special, but for the rest it's a pretty classical arrangement. Haydn wouldn't agree, because I've turned some voicing upside down (e.g. first violin in the second voice...). But that's the kind of freedom we have now.
