On the Box performance the word :Hero appears. The overture IS heroic, very well done.

Thank you, Ted. The hero tag was used as there are three character motifs, one chordal and two melodic, that will be used in the second act.

It sounds quite powerful and expressive Tom.

One anticipates high drama unfolding in words and music.

Thank you, Phil. I did go back and back the trumpet solo off a bit - sounds more natural that way. I'll post that a little later.

What follows musically are two arias written in a double harmonic major scale.

I'm using only natural instruments on this, and for the most part standard classical orchestration.

    Hi Tom,

Very impressing. As an opening this is certainly an attention catcher and leaves lots af room for thrilling imagination. Well done!

Thanks Raymond - now if I can just come up with a good story.

Lovely drama, perfect for an introduction to a great story. It is like some people are working or walking and then suddenly discover something which may form the continuation.
    Nice tune.
