For Kjell. This is work I did for a contest in I think 2009. The original movie had no score.
Lots of fun to do.

Just masterful!
Ted
Thank you so much Ted!
Very good. Your sync movie and sound is wonderful.
Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand is/was one of my favorite plays.
I enjoyed having seen it in Rotterdam by famous dutch players and on TV in French (the original language of this play).
You brought me back to those years, many thanks.

That is a marvellous example of integrated music: never distracting, not just doubling the action, but supporting it with modest means. Very well done.
Film music should have the same relationship to the film drama that somebody's piano playing in my living room has on the book I am reading. (Igor Stravinsky)
Max
Thank you so much Max. I have a theatre background including directing which gives me a bit of a leg up here.
Nice work!
I also would think it would be doubly difficult to add sountrack to a move scene that was filmed without the apparent need for it and with the constant dialog.
A real challenge.

So wonderful.
When I watch movies (not so often anymore) I usually find myself to focus on the music and how it fits with the drama. So also in this case and I must say that your music makes the movie, really brilliant. The only thing that annoys me is the loud sounds from the swords which infer with the music. But overall it is the perfect marriage between music and drama.
Kjell
I liked you timing, and not filling music everywhere.. Nice humor musically, complements the visuals.
I get tired of some of the scoring of new TV shows especially, where people are using these 'pre built orchestra libraries', with string runs, riffs etc.. Sometimes watch old movies just for the great music scores..
You did a very tasteful job on this..
