Pastoral piece for piano and small orchestra

    Greetings everybody,
here is a tune for piano and orchestra inspired, as usual, by nature, produced by GPO5. The themes were developed in my youth and are under constant development so if you have heard them before, please notify me.
    All the best,
    Kjell

Listened twice, was enjoying it more the second time. The only suggestion I have is about your title, and the word pastoral. To me the piece is a very good variation on a few themes, done expertly but hardly "pastoral". Nevertheless, what counts is not the title, but the music which is very good,

Thank you Ted for listening and I am happy you liked it.
Sometimes when I listen to it it feels pastoral but not always.

Beautiful Kjell! I found some pictures of Lake Ekoln and watched as I listened. Great inspiration. Reminds me of Northern Minnesota where I've done much canoeing and camping.

    Lovely. Melancholy.

    Great work Kjell!

Maybe this is a pastoral rhapsody. I get the sense of a rural scene at the beginning and then it becomes deeper and emotive. Something to do with the country side and human fellings I guess.

    Hi Kjell,

A wonderful piece of music. Pastoral or not (what's in a name...), it is quite pleasing to listen to. The music as such is very nice, but also the mix and the overall sound. The piano sounds very natural and fits in perfectly.
Absolutely worth the time to listen to it more than once!

    Congrats,
    Max

Max, Fastlane and Royce, Thank you all for listening and for your comments, they warm my heart.

Royce, magnificent that you found pictures from the Lake area. And indeed, the million of swedes that emigrated to USA during 19th century mainly found their new home in Minnesota which reminded them most of Sweden with lakes, coniferous forest and apple trees. Nice connection you found there.

I married an Olson. But she is Swedish on her mother's side.
