    Bird In Space

Here's something I came up with a while back starting with a synth that uses lo-fi samples from old radio and tv shows. It attempted to recreate some of the sounds of the electronic group Boards Of Canada who were actually from Scotland. I mixed in Ebertone's Sensual Sax for the lead sound.

Sort of a tribute to Charlie Parker and the era.

Very relaxing and enjoyable with a great sound picture and many interesting events.

And just a hint of Vangelis brass. Very nicely done.

    Hi Phil,

I was reminded of the time I used to listen to such music...

It certainly did feel like somewhere out there.

Coooool! A bit like a huge soundscape and really fit for being used as a soundtrack. I agree with the Vangelis mention.

    Very pleasing indeed.

    Thanks!

Thanks kjell. The events are both accidental and intentional I guess. So it goes with electronic sounds.

I went back to the Logic file and no actual brass track but yes, there is a hint of brass in the two Diva Clarinet patches that were mixed with the Sensual Sax patch.

    Glad you liked it Tom.

Thanks for commenting Yudit. I was never a big jazz person but I went through a post rock cool jazz listening phase way back when.

Happy you enjoyed this one Fab!

The big sound was mostly from just one patch. I see I also used JABB cymbal brushes.

    Hi Phil,

You have found your thing in synth music and your getting better and better. This one is very convincing and realised with craftsmanship. Very usable as visualisation music.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Max
