Hello friends of Northens Sounds,

New Library release, Brazilian Series: Berimbau and Caxixi & Agog˘ for Kontakt 5.5.The Berimbau consists of an arched rod made of wood or polyester with an approximate length of 1.50 - 1.70 meters and a steel wire attached to the ends of the pole. Functioning as a sounding board, there is a dried gourd tied to its base and the performer uses his left hand to support the set and practices a movement against the belly, using a stone or a coin to press the string.

The Caxixi is a percussion instrument made of a closed basket with a flat-bottom filled with seeds or other small particles. The round bottom is traditionally cut from a dried gourd. The Agog˘ of sanded coconut is made in a handmade way with wooden handle bolted in two dry coconuts that are sanded and varnished. Touched, like the other models, with a wooden bat.
