How do I arrange parts for a typical combo band?

How do I arrange a B3 and a piano (or Rhodes) so they don't clash? What registers should they play in? Also, if I get three or four horn pieces how would I arrange them to not clash with the guitar?

This isn't a very active forum is it? LOL

The best way to keep the rhythm section from clashing is to not have them playing
at the same time. One can be left out for a chorus while the others play. You can
also give them specifically written notation as to when to play, i.e. write out their
parts for them. Seasoned musicians are going to know when to play in such a
group but the less experienced with need to learn it.

I suggest you listen to Bitches Brew to get an idea as to how three or four
    rhythm instruments can play together.

    Hope this helps.
