Australian based music streamer Songl, which formerly launched just last year, has shut down. Songl was a joint venture between Sony Music, Universal Music and investors Southern Cross Austereo (SCA). Australia has proven to be a particularly tough market for music streamers to crack with Deezer exiting downunder earlier this year. “Songl was a consumer-facing music streaming service we have jointly been committed to for the past two years," the partners said in a statement.
