Country ruled the Nielson Billboard charts this week with Miranda Lambert’s "Platinum" grabbing the top spot selling 179,000 copies. Along with strong recent debuts from Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert, country is again proving itself as a major force in music sales. While Coldplay’s Ghost Stories, which held the top spot for the previous two weeks, dropped to #5, the only other debut in the Top 10 was 50 Cent’s Animal Ambition, at #4 with 47,000 copies sold.
