    First video soundtrack

The Associate pastor at the church I serve asked if I could do music to a video of a drawing he did... this is my first foray into music with video... the drawing depicts going from despair to joy.

All Garritan in Finale 2011 except for the wind noise, a free audio file I got from the internet.

    Enjoy!

Great to see you back in town, Jonathan!

Enjoyed the video... very well done; while I must say I was surprised by overall style -- very effective conveyance of the underlying message.

    All the best,

    Thanks David,

Yes, it is a bit removed from my usual style - always fun to try something different

It was amazing how well he used symbols to represent and then alter perspective. It took me a moment to catch the representation of the skulls, but indeed it all became clear as the vines began to appear. Very subtly done.

Most interesting, the evolution in your music and the building up of the drawing. A perfect match!

Well done and it sounds very good!

That was a great presentation. I liked how it started out dark and mysterious, especially with the images (darkness, wastelands, and skulls). Then it shows the light and hope. This was a real great composition and I liked the video as well. Thanks for the share!

I don't know why, but for some reason I was getting no sound on this when I played it. Jay

Quite interesting and (this counts more) inspired work.

I liked the high strings sound of the introduction, it is not static as
it is usual with notation programs: how do you achieved it?

    Thank you for sharing.

    Hey Jon!
so nice to see you still around

Very good work by the way you shared! I like the use of a modern style and sound somewhat suspended in the time, it matches the universal timeless message of Christmas.

    all the best
