I guess this will be announced at the NAMM. Despite all the other good stuff coming out I\'m quite looking forward to this; there are still things my old E4k can do that modern softsamplers can\'t....

    I don\'t think it\'s a spoof, Lee.

The most interesting thing to me is the turntable input! That\'s novel.

    Hi,

It will be interesting indeed. I still have an E-mu E5000 Ultra in mint condition (still with the plastic on the screen) that I have avoided selling since I have some E-mu samples that just don\'t sound the same or as warm when converted to either Kontakt or exs-24.

Unless it truly does some innovative things that sampler users want/need, it may be too little too late for E-mu unfortunately. Adding another sampler with some hardware DSP for FX may only provide a little bit of excitement in that situation. E-mu had a DSP card available for their Ultra sampler line which very few people got excited about.

There are already a few software samplers around and people won\'t jump ship and begin the tedious task of converting sample libraries to yet another format unless there are true benefits.

I guess you could say that I have some restrained excitement. At the suggested price points though, I may consider it just to replace my E-5000. As everyone else has found, working with software is just so convenient. Not too many more days until we get more info.

Yeah and the use of tying the software back to hardware for CP... Pure genious.
