Roland Mod Wheel Non Starter For X-fades

This is a very, very long shot, but...

Does anyone know how to reprogramme a Roland A-30 keyboard controller? I\'ve lost the manual, and using the A-30 to control mod wheel x-fades or any other wheel based sample articulation is next to impossible with Roland\'s awful mod/pitch stick.

There\'s a data entry slider on the A-30\'s panel which would probably do the same job, but I\'ve no idea how to set it up.

I get the feeling that this thread may soon have lonesome tumbleweeds rolling around it.

I stayed away from roland for this reason.....but there could be an easy fix.

Why not use an input transformer of some sort on your sequencer to convert the data enty slider to a mod wheel? I\'m assuming the data entry slider is currently transmitting CC06?
