The main problem I see with you posting this here is that it is a reminder to me that I will never acheive what the master has already done. Beethoven was such a genious and I am just a mere mortal trying to emulate the master, knowing full well I will never match his greatness.

Thanks for reminding me of this fact. ;)

The rendering in this is excellent.

Is this all GPO?

Thank you for your wellcome.
All the sounds are GPO. For the reverb I used the SIR 1 with an impulse from the site noisevault (the concertgebouw one). All these are free.

Thierry,

Very nice recording/performance of this piece. I like the way you presented it with your flash animation too. Very clever.

Moi aussi, j'aime Beethoven! Tu as choisi une belle menuette de la premiere symphonie! ;)

english ver: This was wonderful, Thierry (La Fronde: Old French TV-series)

I also like Beethoven! You have chosen a beautiful menuet from his first symphony! ;)

Elle est bien bonne celle-là!
Aurais-tu la partition du générique?

Eng: It's a good joke. Have got the score of it?

It's well done!

Great dynamics in this.

That Beethoven guy wrote some pretty good tunes.

Thierry:

Excellent rendering of this great Beethoven work.

The graphic "flash" work is really educational as it
guides the listener through the work in a formatic
way.

Great job on this. I loved the "real" musical product
your mix produced.

BRAVO, Thierry

Thierry,

Very nice realization of this master work with the GPO. You have done very well in your production of this work.

You might find it interesting to hear my arrangements of the 2nd and 3rd movements of this symphony for large saxophone ensemble that I posted to the forum recently;

I have posted movements from several other Beethoven symphony here.

Thierry,

What a clever idea! The music structure is very visible! The performance is very good too. I enjoyed it very much.

# I love Beethoven's No. 1 and No. 2 symphonies very much. And possibly No. 3.;)

How does one download your "flash" project. It is very
worthwhile and I would like to keep it as a reference project.

I do not speak or write French, so if there was any mention
of a "download possibility," I didn't see it.

Hi Jack,
Thank you for the interest which you carry in my work (I hope my english writing is good).
To download the flash animation you can do a "save like" of the html page. It will download the html page and a folder in which there is the flash file : Symph1-3fr.swf.
If it doesn't work, I make a link here : http://www.ecouteactive.fr/beethoven/Symph1-3fr.swf (http://www.ecouteactive.fr/beethoven/Symph1-3fr.swf)
I hope it will work.

I find your arrangement very interesting. It makes me need to try JABB on a jazz file (I'm a jazz musician).
Thank you.
